HOLLIDAYSBURG – The Blair County Genealogical Society will meet at 7:00 pm Thursday, February 17th, 2022 at the Roller Hojeth Memorial Library, 431 Scotch Valley Rd.
Glenn Nelson Jr. will present “Finding Fort Roberdeau”.
Since May 2013, Mr. Nelson has served as the director of Fort Roberdeau, a Blair county park designated as a National Historic Site (1974) and conservation area. Prior to his time at Fort Roberdeau, Mr. Nelson served as the Education Coordinator for Chester County Parks & Recreation Department from 1997 to 2012 where he led the department’s education programs at all county park sites. Glenn graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School in 1976 and earned a B.S. in Biology from the Pennsylvania State University in 1980. The presentation is free and open to the public.
