HOLLIDAYSBURG – The Blair County Genealogical Society will meet at 7 pm Thursday January 20th at the Roller Hojeth Memorial Library, 431 Scotch Valley Rd.
Bob Dollar, current President of the Tyrone Area Historical Society, will present the “Remember a Vet” program and the “Long Journey Home” about WW2 Flyers, one being from Tyrone.
Bob is 21.5 year Air Force Veteran who rose to the rank of Captain after being commissioned. He has written many articles for the Historical Society on Tyrone’s involvement in WW2 and military in general. He has also authored two books “The Rest of the Story” and “The Long Journey Home.”
