HOLLIDAYSBURG – The Blair County Genealogical Society will meet at 7:00 pm Thursday, June 16th,  2022 at the Roller Hojeth Memorial Library, 431 Scotch Valley Rd.

Our June speaker will be author Kevin Mearkle. Kevin is a resident of Bedford County and an 8th generation descendant of two Bedford County families with Civil War veterans. He was also named Bedford County Historical Society’s Historian of the Year in 2021.

He has been involved for several years in the research for his book “Civil War Soldiers of Bedford County, PA” The contents of his work will be a long-standing invaluable source of reference for Civil War scholars whose focus is on Bedford County.
